‘Tis the season for a new update on the long awaited Cloud Music Suite! We have tons of new updates for you!

Important Progressions

Design Focus

As you could probably tell from the picture headlining this blog, we have finalized the design and have begun the development of the dashboard user interface! We are farther ahead on some of the key functionalities of the site, but we are excited to marry this functionality with our beautiful dashboard design. There may be some tweaks here and there to the design, but overall, the provided picture is roughly what you will see logging into Cloud Music Suite for the first time!

The main focus of design for the hard launch is going to be the dashboard which allows the user to access all the functionalities of the website. We are aiming to provide a seamless and effortless design which allows for students and instructors alike to easily find everything they will need to find on the platform. In keeping a minimalist approach and only showing you what you want to see from any given section, we are keeping confusion to a minimum and allowing you to focus on what you need, when you need it.

In designing the dashboard we are also discovering what works with our vision and noting  these aspects to update the rest of our site in hopes that the simplicity of our dashboard will spill over into the remainder of what we have. As we continue to tweak our designs we continue to learn more about what works for us and what will work for you even when we thought we had the perfect design. After all, we strive to provide you the best experience on the platform that we possibly can.

Functionality Focus

As far as functionality goes, the schedule system for Cloud Music Suite has been completed. We have integrated Google Calendar so that every time a student signs up for a lesson, it is automatically added to their calendar. This will make it easier for you to remember when your lesson is, as well as provide optional extra notifications for when your lesson is about to start! This integration is also a keystep in the creation of these events and allows us to retrieve the Google Meet link that you will use to have your lessons.

We have also continued our integration with Stripe. We have reworked some of our previous implementations to allow for users to easily checkout with or without saved payment options when purchasing a lesson. We have yet to utilize some of Stripe’s frontend features for error checking and handling, but it is on our list of things to tackle. We also plan to allow students to configure their payment options outside of the purchasing flow to allow for easy and flexible control.

Lastly, the next step is to begin the implementation of the file system. The file system will allow students and instructors alike to upload, access, and share files to each other safely and securely, allowing the sharing of sheet music, example videos, and many more options to improve your learning environment!

We are so thankful for the support that we have received from everyone. We are very excited to bring this platform to you, so you can learn from the comfort of your own home. Check out some of our other blogs using the link below!
